THE EVIDENCE LOCKER:
PROCEEDS OF CRIME SERIES
THE LORE: A RIGGED SYSTEM
The corporate elite are praised for their “financial maneuvering,” while the Everyman is relentlessly prosecuted simply for trying to survive. *Proceeds of Crime* is a physical audit of this systemic double standard.
In this collection, beloved childhood pop-culture icons represent the Everyman. They have been apprehended, charged, and caged for the exact financial crimes the 1% commit every day, from Forgery to Concealment of Assets. They are taking the fall.
The arresting officer? Detective J. Fyvie. Representing the untouchable elite, the artist plays the role of the corrupt system itself. Det. Fyvie hasn’t seized these assets to uphold the law; he has seized them to cover his own tracks.
Each piece is not just a physical painting. It is seized physical evidence of a rigged game, framed as a trophy of corruption.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT:
The system will pardon a thousand moral failings before it forgives a single threat to its fiat currency. In this jurisdiction, paper money is the only sacred construct. The investigators believe these cases are closed. They are not looking hard enough. I didn’t seize these exhibits to uphold the law. I seized them to cover my tracks.”
